The Ladies In The Radiator Introducing our headline act, and wonderful hosts, The Ladies in the Radiator. Branded electronic witchcraft practitioners of the Avant Garde, The Ladies summoned themselves onto the Liverpool music scene in 2022, and have been casting spells with momentum ever since. Borne of comedian and spoken word poet Phoebe Winstanley, sound artist Jezebel Halewood-Leagas, and later joined by Glam Goth Daddy / Mommy / guitarist Nate Reid, The Ladies explore themes of female trauma, navigating the world as someone with a neurodivergent mind, and difficult familial relationships. They do so by using a Lynchian theatrical style to highlight the discomfort of these topics to the audience. An onlooker once said "I didn't believe in hypnotism before, but now I do".
Silvia Battista Silvia Battista was born in Rome, Italy, lived for twenty years in London and at present lives and works in Liverpool. She is a multidisciplinary artist, writer, lecturer and member of the collective MM Material Matters. She works with myths, mythopoiesis and non linear narratives through drawing, sound, performance and writing. Her research focuses on ritualistic processes in sound, storytelling and speculative fiction to generate each time different perceptions and forms of identities. She celebrates the practice of weaving the symbolic, the religious, the mythological, the empirical, and the folkloristic with post-human feminist ideas to re-imagine the meanings of being 'human' in the 21st century. www.silviabattista.com
